Spiders

Spiders is a video game development studio
producing its own creations as well as offering part or full productions for third parties.

The company was born when several French video game veterans worked together on the creation of the Silverfall game and its add-on, and decided to pursue the adventure together. Although the company is mainly specialized in the design and development of Action/RPG games, owing to previous experience, it also has the capacity to provide solutions in different genres, like porting.

All of our productions and complete developments use our own multi-platform engine and tool-kit: the Silk Engine.

Today, Spiders employs twenty people, in addition to a number of freelancers and authors.

Jehanne Rousseau CEO/Producer The company tyrant. In addition to her finely- (and constantly) honed skills with whip and riding crop, she also decides on the worlds for the different studio creations. Fortunately for everyone in the office, she is now working miles away, somewhere in a destitute, swampy – well, somewhere in Brittany, anyway.
Wilfried Mallet Technical Director Wilfried directs the development team on the different projects, using a velvet hand in an iron glove (or maybe it’s the other way around), as planner and overseer. He is the only genuinely serious person in a key position in the company.
Stéphane Versini Lead Game designer Openly professing his attraction to mad goblin inventors, Stéphane throws his heart and soul into striving to resemble them as much as possible. Under the pretence of managing the level and game design team, he creates infernal gameplay that is remarkably sadistic.
Sylvain Prunier Lead Sound Designer Sylvain is the maniacal and intransigent sound designer at Spiders. He is also the company’s Swiss army knife, and his passion for technology means he can provide advice on the purchase of any electronic gadget you can think of.
Julien Briatte 3D Lead Artist Better known by the pseudonym “Papa Juju,” he manages the art team with constant good nature. He’s also extremely talented at keeping the boot of his car full of small, undefined packages.
Arnaud Beaume Lead Animator Arnaud directs the animation team, which does not mean he’s handy to have around if you’re having a heart attack. Instead, he spends his days persuading skeletons to walk, no doubt deluded into thinking he’s the next Ray Harryhausen.
Walid Miled Project Manager Walid is a kind of lightning rod: firmly ensconced between the devil and the deep blue sea. His infinite patience is the only thing preventing him from descending into madness as a result of a ridiculously packed daily schedule.
Guillaume Werlé Rendering/PS3 Manager Guillaume is the magician at Spiders, a master of the elements, a genius at illusion. Everyday he performs miracles for the artists who, thanks to him, can endlessly tinker with the settings.
