GreedFall, our latest RPG, offers you to forge the destiny of an uncharted world, when it releases September 10 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Spiders and Focus Home Interactive are today excited to unveil a new webseries, which explores the studio’s signature approach in bringing GreedFall to life. The first episode, Terra Incognita, is available to watch now, exploring the creative processes, inspirations and intentions of the team in creating GreedFall’s unique world.
GreedFall draws inspiration from the 17th Century of our own world, with references to the era’s baroque art, music, fashion and architecture. Through the rich bestiary, distinct settlements and sprawling environments filled with secrets, Spiders aims to imbue players with a sense of wonder - much like that of the explorers, scientists and naturalists of the epoch. Despite the historical references, the island of Teer Fradee is very much grounded in fantasy. For every fantastical creature, native village and colonizing nation, the team has conceived an origin and reason to exist in this world, giving curious players a deep history to delve into.
